Cranio-Sacral Therapy
Craniosacral Manipulation (CST) is purported to manipulate the bones of the head and face. I believe it is more of an energy type of treatment that promotes a state of deep relaxation.
By working at the base of the head, the patient is extremely relaxed and easily slips into deep meditation, if they desire. If so, I can lead the patient into a guided meditation that is consistent with the patient's beliefs and addresses whatever issue is on his/her heart. I have seen some remarkable experiences with this therapy.
If we are not going to treat any specific issues, or if the patient is not yet ready to do such intense therapy, then I simply play a guided meditation CD with music that is for general health and relaxation.
These treatments are very effective in Whole Body Healing and in treating any and all dis-eases, especially when combined with Mind-Body healing. This therapy is also excellent for depression and anxiety.
