Pre-Sleep Examples

Some examples of things you can tell yourself regarding personality are:

I am a happy person.

I am very peaceful.

I am at peace with God, with myself, and with others.

I love my family (or names of people).

I am very patient,…kind…loving…gentle…hopeful…cheerful.

I am very patient with God, I am very patient with myself, I am very patient with others.

I have trust in God. I trust that God is taking care of me, and everything is going to be fine.

I have faith in God, I have faith in myself, and I have faith in others.

I want to do what God wants me to do.

I am very happy to be a (mother, worker, your occupation) and I love my work.

Etcetera

You can help yourself with your diet or exercise by saying:

I love eating fruits/vegetables. They make me feel very satisfied. When I eat fruits and vegetables, I don’t feel like eating anything else.  My body is craving nutritious, healthy foods like fruits, veggies, whole grains, and fish, and I no longer crave fast food or fried foods.

I love exercising. It makes me feel so wonderful when I exercise.

I feel very healthy. My body is getting healthier as I take care of myself better, day by day. God is healing my body of all of its diseases. God is making me healthy so that I can serve Him better, day by day. Etcetera.

You can help yourself with smoking by saying:

Every time I feel like having a cigarette, my body wants to eat a healthy fruit. After eating a fruit, my body will be very satisfied and I will not have any cravings whatsoever. I am smoking less and less each day (repeated). I am refusing to smoke when ____ (I am drinking my coffee, driving to work, taking a break, after I eat, etc.)
